Let us introduce ourselves…

Ashfield House is a family owned day nursery that is committed to providing high quality care working within the early years foundation stage framework which is able to be specifically tailored to the individual needs of each child. Our philosophy is that learning should be fun, which is why we provide a diverse range of activities that allow children to explore their surroundings and develop key skills through curiosity, creativity and play. We also work in close partnership with parents and carers to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to develop and flourish at their own pace in a safe, happy and nurturing environment.

To support this, we have spared no expense in custom-designing a premier nursery setting to ensure children are stimulated, engaged and free to express themselves in spacious, well-resourced indoor and outdoor play areas. Furthermore, our team of highly qualified Early Years Practitioners have been hand picked due to their passion for supporting children to reach their full potential through on-going encouragement and praise.

To create a family atmosphere, we operate a key-person system within the nursery regardless of how often your child attends. This means that your child will be allocated a member of staff who, as their main carer will be responsible for developing a close relationship with them so that they feel cherished, secure and content whilst they are away from home. Parents also benefit from this, as they have a regular point of contact for any questions or concerns and are kept informed and involved at all times. Parents/carers will be provided with an informative breakdown of your child’s activities, such as how much they’ve eaten, what their mood has been like, which friends they’ve played with throughout the day and all of those wow moments that you will want to hear about.

In September 2019 we opened our doors to our second setting on Norman Lane following on from all of our achievements and successes at Stewart Close. We continue to provide high quality care across our two buildings to the same standards and practices we have always held – we are all one family here at Ashfield.

Our Team

Each member of our team brings proven, well rounded practical experience and a distinct range of skills and specialisms to the nursery. They are encouraged to maintain their training and achieve additional qualifications throughout their employment at Ashfield House. You are welcome to call in for a privately conducted tour round the nursery and to meet our friendly, enthusiastic team in person.
